Higher than Usual Lung Cancer Incidence in Taiwanese Non-smokers
- Taiwan currently has about 10,000 lung cancer patients, equal to 0.004% of the island's 23 million people – just 1/100th the prevalence of NTUH's sample. Most of the existing cases are advanced – Stages 3 and 4 – when the disease is often terminal and when it is most likely to become symptomatic.
